Jorge just painted another room in my house, in our ongoing attempt to have him do the whole place. so i just wanted to put another plug in for him. neat, clean and efficient. and this room needed a lot of patching work, which was done perfectly.

I want to recommend Jorge, his crew just finished one bedroom and a bathroom, very good with details, he is a manager-estimator for Rutgers.

Does he do drywall repairs? We're having some plumbing work done in January which will necessitate opening up our kitchen ceiling - I want to have the ceiling repaired and painted - as well as straight painting in another room.

I just hired him to paint and to repair some damaed drywall--I've used him before to paint, and am thrilled he could manage the drywall job.

i'm pretty sure the drywall repair wouldn't be a problem. call him and check it out. like i said, the last room he did for us needed major restoaration work and he did a great job. i've had this house for six years and one by one i'm getting people i trust and don't have to thnk twice about and jorge is definitely one of them. never a second thought about him ebing in the house alone and he is very diloigent baout calling and discussing what is going on, etc.

I just used him for a medium sized job I needed done quickly. His work was neat and accurate, but his price was about double the World of Colors estimate for the same job. I'd used WOC before and had no complaints, but we went with Jorge Mera because of the timing and recommendations seen on this Board. If not for the timing issue though, I would have gone the other way. Too much money to leave on the table.

Jorge Mera's crew did a wonderfull job for me, very neat, good with details and very professional. I had few rooms done by World of Colors before, bad with details, they came and did little preparation and painted real fast and that's true WOC price was about 15 % less but what a diference with the final job, if you want your rooms to look like new again with high quality preparation call Jorge Mera 973 444-1956

Another option for interior painting would be Genner Lopez 973-376-8809.

I think he has worked for Rutgers for 8 years. He did a great job on the interior of my house. Very reasonable pricing, and left the place clean every evening. He worked 5 days straight and was always on the job with 1 to 3 other guys.

Genner and crew are trustworthy (and nice guys) - I had no problem with leaving him my key during the time he was working.

Jorge just finished a job for my aunt and they are thrilled with it. from my experience, he is slightly more expensive than woc and well worth it. if a bid really comes in at 2x, I would think you could negotiate. you won't have second thoughts with the work.

I love Jorge too, but his team did some sloppy stuff on my house. They didn't remove light switch covers or outlet covers (which I now discover as I am changing them out one year later...)and they didn't remove the entire venetian blind holders (on the inside of the window frame) that are now painted in. I was on bedrest at the time, or would have checked for these things. Paint job looks great, just those things.
