The light switch in my bedroom controls not just the 1 ceiling light, but the light in the bathroom and an outlet. The light in the bedroom has to be on for the bathroom light to work. The switch in the bathroom only controls the bathroom light. You can see how this can cause a problem in the middle of the night! Anyway, how can I take the bathroom off the 3 way switch. Can I disconnect one the wires in the bedroom switch by trial and error? Thanks.

It all depends on your wiring. Figure out which cables are incoming (from the circuit braker) to the switch in the bedroom, then on the other side of the swich check if there is one or two cables connected. If it's only one, then you are probably out of luck. If there are two, try which one turns on the bedroom light, and which one turns on the bathroom circuit.
Now move the bathroom circuit connection to the incoming connection on the switch and you should be all set.
