I need somebody to wash all windows, including storms in our house. The concern here is that they are careful with both the walls and the floors. Several companies have been thrown out by others in the past, most notably America's Best. However, I got an uneasy feeling speaking to them. He basically told me all of the storms would have to be pulled inside the house to be cleaned, and that he couldn't guarantee that nothing would happen to our walls or floors. Has anybody had any experience with Brookwood Crystal, or Delsandro? Comments are appreciated.

America's Best broke one of our windows and then tries to convince me that "it was like that." I got a signifigant credit for it, but they never admitted it or apologized.

We've used Brookwood for the last two years and have been very happy with them. They were professional (pleasant to deal with when making an appointment and then actually showed up on time).

They do nice work - we have a combination of windows - some have storms and some don't. We've never had a problem with making a mess of things. The paint gets a little chipped on the windows on the inside, but quite frankly that's because we painted our windows shut....

I would recommend Brookwood without hesitation.

Have used Americas Best, as have (literally) our neighbors on all sides. They were extremely careful and professional, and did a fantastic job. We'll definitely use them again.

Is it standard practice to take the storm windows off, and pull them inside the house to clean them?

As said by Bobkat... Yes
Storms can't be removed from the exterior without a man on the inside and out.
If this what you desire you'll have to pay extra for the guy to take the ladders off the truck, erect the ladder, climb to the window, carefully bring it down to the ground, clean it, carry it back up, install it,touch up where he smuged it, climb down, remove the ladder and then put them back on the truck.

Like Lilb, I like Brookwood too - the windows are sparkling when they leave and they never ever leave a mess inside or outside the house.

Brookwood isn't cheap, but I like not having to inspect the job, and the owner is great to work with - always on time and considerate.
