There's a very annoying storm drain located at the end of our driveway. Despite two years of practice, i still manage to bottom out, or at least bang our car's tailpipe, three out of four times when i back out onto the street.

Someone suggested that i contact the township to have them do something about this, but (1) i'm not sure if this is something they would even get involved with, and (2) i'm not sure how they'd go about fixing the situation. Can they move the location of the drain? Or would they somehow try to correct the slope??

And would i just start with contacting the municipal building about this?

You should absolutely contact the town's DPW. We had a storm drain that needed an iron crating and they took care of that promptly.
