I have a treadmill which needs to go from the second floor to the basement. Any suggestions? |

I believe there is an intersection in WestOrange where you can hire day laborers by the hour. Anybody know where exactly? Besides, I usually call my neighbor for this kind of thing. Costs me a beer, and a return favor. |

My neighbor volunteered to help but I am little weary -- I sort of would like a mover to come in and do it. |

The last time I tried calling a mover to come and move a piece of furniture from the first floor to the third floor of my house, they wanted some outrageous amount of money that made me so mad I can't even remember how much it was. The guy was basically saying that it wasn't worth his time unless I was willing to fork over a lot of cash. So, we called a friend and he and my husband did it, taking a break at each landing. No mishaps, and it was all done in about 10 minutes. I gave him a chair massage as a way of saying thanks. |

Kangaroo Movers (exact name?) moved a fridge from garage to basement for us a few years back for $60. Personally, I'd try to find a friend (or a nearby large, underemployed teenager). |
