I got a quote of $275 to install exterior shutters on my house for two windows on the first floor and two on the second. To folks who have had this kind of work done before -- does this sound like it is in the right ball park? Your feedback is appreciated. |

WAY high. We had in done for "tips" to the guys from our roofing company that had just replaced our garage roof. Counter with $100. That's ridiculous. |

mwoodalk, they were already there doing work on the house correct? If someone is coming to do this job only $100.00 isn't worth starting the truck. Mantram, is your house wood or brick? |

Do you want them just screwed into the siding or do you want them mounted on pin hinges, with a latch and dogs installed? How is the access? Are there a lot of bushes that make using a ladder difficult?

The house is wood and yes there are bushes which will make using the ladder somewhat tricky. We don't need the latch and dogs installed though. I'm thinking of countering with $200. |
