O Clever Ones-- I have a large mural on a wall that I want to preserve, but need to cover (child has outgrown it). Any ideas? (I'm thinking (i) large piece of canvas hung with rods at top and bottom; (ii) pegboard? How would I attach it? Any thoughts?? Thanks! |

They're always covering walls with fabric on Trading Spaces, so check out the website. (I think it would be a giant cat toy, myself.) Painted pegboard could be cool, if your kiddo had lots of stuff to hang, or you could buy a bunch of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves from Ikea. |

We have a neighbor with budget constraints who covered her icky walls with fabric. It looked fabulous. And, since it involves only patience and tacking down around the edges, there is no glue, etc. involved. |

Greenetree, do you know if your neighbor used fabric starch? That's the method I'm mostly seeing in my web searches. It seems messy and I just don't get the seam part. |
