Does anyone have any recommendations for someone to build built-in benches and a custom table in a kitchen? Thanks!

Are you building a banquette in your kitchen?

What style do you want?

If you are looking for period style, i.e. craftsman/bungalow, you can google and come up with lists of reputable and somewhat expensive furniture makers.

There is a unfinished furniture place on Rt.22 in Hillside near Bloy Street next to McDonalds or maybe it's a Burger King called Rawood. They have a lot of things on display and will also build what ever you want.Just bring a picture to show them and they will make it.They do a GREAT job at a decent price

I know two master craftsmen who can do period pieces so that the work will look original to your house.

One's extensive renovation/custom work (including built-in pieces) I've seen; he did one project for us a few years back. He was the only contractor (at the time) who could/would repair our original curved palladian doors.

The other I've heard amazing things about, but have not personally used.

They are both expensive as hell. If that is a direction you are considering, PL me & I'll try to find contact info.

Another good call might be to Greenerose Construction (MOL's own Mike McKell). I'd had a conversation awhile ago with his partner, Dave, about replicating original moldings. I haven't seen his work, and have no idea if they do your sort of projects, but he seemed very knowledgeable about the carpentry stuff.

As Wharf raises, there is a wide spectrum of skill-set and craftsmanship out there, so it depends on what you are looking for.
