Having trouble finding a vanity that we like and that is shallow enough to fit in our bathroom, any recommendations for custom cabinet makers who might be able to make us something suitable? Our design taste is simple and the piece itself wouldn't be very large (30" wide x 18" or 19" deep), so we're hoping this won't cost us an arm and a leg . . . |

You might want to contact Shh. She hasn't said anything lately, but I believe her contractor does custom cabinets. Or, check out the built-in thread. |

Hanco on Route 10 will make custom vanities. Either finish it yourself or have them do it. In our first house we wanted a 36 inch counter height since both Mrs. K and I are fairly tall and they made one for us. |

Yes, I'd recommend Greg's cabinets, but he's been traveling for several weeks dealing with an ill relative. www.chatsworthofessex.com

Thanks for the suggestions, all. Good to know about Hanco, I'll definitely give them a try. We also have an appointment tonight at Hardware Design in Farirfield to see if there's anything stock that might fit the bill, if that doesn't work I'll call Greg. Seems to me I should be able to get a simple vanity cabinet for ~$500, but that might be wishful thinking on my part . . . |
