Lately, we've been having low water pressure for the hot water only coming out of the shower in the upstairs bath. It seems like all the other hot water spigots in the house are fine except this one. Can anyone offer any thoughts on what may be the problem?

Probably the shower head is clogged. Remove it and clean it in vinegar.

Thanks Bobkat - the water is slow out of the tub spigot before it gets diverted out up to the shower head. Could that be clogged?

Interesting, very interesting. Usually tub spigots don't have a filter, or so I think.

Do you know how old your pipes are? Are they the original galvanized iron pipes? If that is the case it may be that they are clogging up from corrosion.

Also, did this start all of a sudden or have the outlets been slowing down over a reasonably long period of time.

I would still start by cleaning the shower head and hope for the best.

Could it be partially frozen? I heard hot water lines freeze first.

We put heat tape on an already frozen tub drain line.....it took 3 full days but the clog melted. The drain is still running clear even in today's single digits.

seems to have just started suddenly. don't know how old the pipes are. I do know that the previous owner did a bath redo prior to us purchasing the home (about 6-7 years ago??)

I think if the hot water is moving through the pipes would break up any frozen areas.

If the pipes are that new it is probably some sort of sediment buildup. Our water here is very hard.
