Hi -- can anyone recommend someone to call for washing machine repair? My washing machine just stopped working the other day, and I can't seem to figure out why. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks.

How old is the machine and what brand is it. Is it making any noise at all. Is it working in the wash cycle and not the rinse or the other way around. This may help to figuire what the problem is.

It's an old Kenmore (not sure how old; it came with the house). It filled up with water, then did nothing. The only thing I could get it to do was spin, so I spun out all the water. Now it just does nothing.

There's a recent thread on this. Scroll down to "Archive through 1/2/05", or Search for repair and washing. I think Sears and Valley Household have been recommended in the past, but as usual there's a wide variety of opinions! Good luck!
