I am in the process of getting quotes for repaving our driveway and installing Belgian block. Can anyone inform me whether I should be asking how much asphalt they actually lay down—i.e., 2 inches versus 3 inches? Or is this standard?
Thanks!

I had my driveway done last fall. I can't remember how much asphalt was used, but I got a couple of quotes and asked the question, and they all gave me the same answer. I tend to think it was 3".

the thicker the better. When getting quotes make sure you are comparing apples and apples.

Call Mike Giordano. He's in the book. He's very reasonable and does superb work.

We are looking to redo our driveway. We tried to get it done by Mike Giordano a while back, but after waiting 3 months for him to start the job he never showed up and we never heard from him again.
We moved on to other work in our house, but still need to repave our driveway.

I would appreciate any other recommendations.

How much should I expect to pay to repave a standard Maplewood driveway, say, +/-120 feet? Ball park figure is fine.
