Expo actually has a very nice selection of ceiling fans. (Though a few of the designs are available at home depot for cheaper.) |

Capitol Lighting on Route 10 has a good selection of ceiling fans. That's where we bought ours, after having checked out Expo. |

I got ours at formplusfunction.com, which had a bigger selection (of styles and sizes--we wanted a smallish one) than the above (farreys.com also has a lot to choose from). |

Check out www.lampsplus.com also www.lightnleisure.com also www.lampdepot.com They all have great prices. We have purchased two Emerson fans that retail for $650 and paid $440. We bought three Hunter hugger fans that were sold for $79. We saw that fan in other places for $159.

I recently bought a very pretty fan from Home Depot for about 100 bucks. Wood and brass, with a frosted glass shade which hangs below all the lightbulbs and therefore you don't have the lightbulb-shining-in-your-eye problem that you get from those fans that have the lightbulbs hanging down, each with their own shade, which shade just like a regular lampshade, up and to the side, but not down. I love it!

Capitol Lighting, either 10 or 22 (much farther than we thought). Casablanca makes a good fan. We bought one last year for oour living room, and my husband installed it. The motor was bad somehow, but they replaced it. A week or so later, the $35 globe fell (hubby installed it wrong) and they were nice enough to replace it free. No problems since. We have several Casablancas in the house and they don't shake like others. They have a few lines at different price points and qualities. The living room one was the better line, and is very quiet and cools the room well. |

"The Great Indoors" down in Woodbridge has quite a nice selection of ceiling fans. Doesn't overlap Expo's ceiling fan selection very much.

Unsolicited suggestion if you're new to ceiling fans: Pay attention to fan blade tilt, measured in degrees. The more tilt, the more air that gets moved. It's noticable. That's one reason why Casablanca owners like their fans; the blades have more tilt and so move more air than most other fans, including Hunter (but not all Hunters). An alternative to Casablanca would be Minka Aire, particularly if you want a less traditional looking fan. |
