Should I be worried if there are icicles hanging from my gutters? Today I noticed I had icicles hanging off the new gutters (with covers) that I had installed last summer. I don't see them hanging off of any of my neighbors homes. Being a new homeowner, I'm not sure if this is something I should be worried about. Does it mean my gutters are clogged? |

I sure don't know the answer to your question but I can tell you me and my neighbors all have them. So at least you're not alone. |

It means that your gutters are full of ice so any melting water will overflow and the icicles develop. The only solution is to install icewire, a run in the gutters then the rest along the roof. The ice wire is made to melt the ice and uses about the same energy as a 60 watt light bulb. |
