On Monday morning (before dawn) a car hit our house and knocked down one of the leaders. Some of the pieces are ok but at least one long piece was severely damaged. With all the wet weather we have been having and more on the way, we need to get a replacement leader up as soon as possible.

We tried contacting our regular roofer but it seems he is out of town for any extended period of time. Can anyone recommend a good roofer who could handle this job?

Thanks in advance.

Mark Meise (973) 228-4965

He has done roof repair, gutter cleaning and minor gutter repairs for us, always satisfactory.

We've used R&G for several projects now (including for a new roof on our house and garage). Receive excellent service every time, and their roof estimate was by far the lowest of 6 we got. Granted, that was to do the entire roof, but I'd assume they'd be competitive on a smaller job as well.

Joan-
Let me know if you don't have anyone by now. I know a young man who worked for a roofer & started his own business last year. He only does roofing & gutter work. He's probably eager to please & available.

Best roofer in the area is John Novalis - he lives in Florham Park, but I think he could be persuaded to come out. Look him up!

Thanks all. Our regular roofer finally called last night. (Perhaps he read this thread on MOL?) He will stop by and give us an estimate as soon as the weather clears (It was snowing pretty heavily when he called). I will keep a listing of all your recommendations in case the insurance company wants additional estimates.

Dear Greenetree,
I would appreciate the info. on the young roofer you mentioned in your response. I have a small leak around our chimney and think it's a little job. I'm having problems getting the bigger companies to consider taking on something insignificant. Thanks
