Hi - i stripped and painted my iron bed about 15 years ago - and the stripping was awful. i used some sort of hardware store purchased paint stripper, adn nearly lost all the skin in my hands along with hours and hours of time - my arms and hands did get a good workout though. anyone know a better way to strip the paint from an iron bed, or somehwere that i can bring it to be done? |

Have it sandblasted (or dipped)! I did it in Texas years ago....the same shops will sometimes prime them for you. I have no local sources, however. |

If you find a local sandblaster - please post the name & address. I bought a patio set a Morrow's turnover sale about 4 years ago.. I was going to strip & paint it myself.. as I said.. that was about 4 years ago |

Try calling auto body shops (they could refer you), or check yellow pages for 'sandblasting'. I had an iron bed sandblasted years ago in Pa. it had milk paint on it and was impossible to remove. |

there is a place in west orange that does stripping. they stripped a wrought iron patio set for us a few years back and did a great job. i dont remeber their name but i know they were located off of main street behind the Edison museum. |

I think there is a dip strip place called Eastern Solar Stripping. Search the archives under dip strip...it should come up. |
