Mayor DeLuca' Please do something about the Jitney Busses that sit in front of the train station with the motors running. The smell in the station is bad with exhaust. Please have the drivers shut off the motors when they are there. Also i noticed that the delivery truck for Heavenly Scent Cafe sits out in front of the station while making deliveries. The other day it sat there for 1/2 hour for more...why I don't know. The Jitney bus was dropping off passengers in the middle of the street and believe me it looked pretty dangerous. Please take care of these issues. Someone may get hurt. Thanks}} |

Oh Please! Where would you like the delivery truck to park, on Baker??? I'm sure one delivery truck wouldn't take up the whole area where the Jitney's park. Would it kill you to walk a little if the Jitney pulled further down? |

In your hast to bust some chops, it looks as if you failed to read the message. I think the point of the post was that the Jitney Bus was dropping people off in the middle of the street and had not pulled further down. It was stated that it was not safe, and not a complaint about a walk. Read it as you may. |

Silva, first off, I wasn't busting Sam's chops, I only bust yours. I just find it difficult to believe that a delivery truck would sit for 30 minutes for a delivery as simple as the one that Heavenly Scent receives. Most delivery people want to get in and out in record time. In addition, why would Sam6 be hanging around at the Maplewood train station for 30 minutes? Didn't he plan on getting on a train? The jitney driver should have had more sense in where he decided to leave off the passengers |

Cfa, If you want to bust my chops, do it it when I post something. Poor Sam, he may have felt badly after reading your post. As to your questions, ask them of Sam. I agree with you regarding the jitney driver.

I spoke with the drivers last week and I have noticed that they have been shutting the buses off since our conversation. As for the delivery truck, he does sit there for atleast a half an hour at a time. I've seen him helping Joyce sell coffee at times. In fact one of the Jitney drivers had the Police tell him that he couldn't park there anymore. Maybe you haven't noticed it yet but he now parks in the lot before the station. |
