Eric- Because of the early snows a number of us still have a lot of leaves. If memory serves we are not allowed to put out leaves during the spring rake out. Is this still the case? Or am I completly wrong about this. Thanks, |

You can put out brush (tied in four foot lengths, that one man can lift) leaves and grass. Leaves and grass must be put in to a container that can be emptied. NO PLASTIC BAGS AND NO PUTTING LEAVES IN THE STREET. If you have any questions you can contact me @ 973-762-1175. Eric Burbank |

I swear I saw leaves being picked up IN THE STREET by that township jaws of death vehicle this morning on my street. What was the deal with that? Is it ok to put leaves out or not? If it gets picked up, then I am under the impression it is ok. |

It's not ok to put leaves in the street. We have been reporting those who do to the Building Department's inspectors. I will speak to the foreman about picking up loose leaves. Eric |

Spring "Rake Out" is a chance for you to get rid of your yard debris. You should have received something in the mail telling you all about it. The schedule, as well as what you can put out is listed above. If you have any other questions you can call DPW @ 973-762-1175. Eric |

I have to say that, for all the complaing that may of us are guilty of from time to time, I've always marvelled at the responsiveness of our local civil servants. Since the day we moved here, I've been able to call Town Hall, be told which department can handle my question and connected to someone in that department who has a knowledgeable answer. Eric's participation online is the icing on the cake.
