Anyone know if the recycling center takes old construction material? Specifically wood from torn down old wooden steps?

If not, is there any place to drop stuff like this?

Thx.

You should be able to get rid of the wood during bulk pick-up unless there is some toxic material (lead paint on the wood perhaps?) involved. Depending on the condition of the wood, one of the schools might take it for use in an art project.

They always say "no construction materials" in bulk pickup. However, I've never seen them not take it ... the only thing I've ever seen left on the curb is hazardous materials (paint cans, propane tanks, etc.)

I think "no construction materials" is usually interpreted to mean "no contractor's debris".

our bulk pickup is about 2 weeks into the history books. the worst part is, i put about half of it out for bulk pickup thinking if i put it all out it will look like construction material. now i am kicking myself because they took that half and now I am left with the other half.

anyone still out there have bulk pickup left?

cut it into small bits and chuck one piece each week with your normal pickup.
