I received the call tonight. There were only two questions: 1. will you be voting in the Maplewood democratic primary? 2. who will you be voting for? The timing and questions struck seemed odd. The goal appeared to be simply to pre-determine who will win the election. There were no follow up questions, no attemp to gather information for campaigning. Did anyone else receive the call? Were the questions the same? |

Interesting. As an aside I am surprised at how little political debate is going on here on MOL. Usually there is a lot of discussions here. I am not in touch with the "street talk" in Maplewood anymore, but I think it is hard for the campaigns to get a feel for what is going on. Certainly all the stuff that went on here as respects the BOE elections gave some indication of how people were thinking. Are Nancy and Lester running a stealth campaign? Heck, are they running a campaign at all? |

That number has showed up twice on my phone this week. I'm glad I didn't answer the phone. |

my daughter was polled two nights ago..she is underage and undecided. Well, she wasnt polled really..she just took the call and was unable to answer for me. I appreciated that she remembered to pass the message along to me because kids sometimes dont take messages. She does however have concerns about the district leader race. |

I got polled. Sorta. Q: "Will you be voting in the Maplewood democratic primary?" A: "Right now, I will be continuing to cook dinner for my family and not answering your questions." I really wish these political calls would be subject to the "do not call" list. I don't want to be reminded to vote by 12 people on election day. They clog the answering machine! (And I always vote).
