Wow. This thread spins. And it confirms a wise old saying: "Choose your friends wisely. Otherwise, when you make that decision to turn on them, you have only yourself to blame, so your best bet is to keep silent or ever be known as a fair weather fool." If any genie can lower taxes of course we would all vote for them. La la la. Meanwhile, back in the real world, as taxes inevitably rise, we need to be assured they are applied where needed - and so far I am confident Fred and Co are doing this in between dodging the loonies. If Jamie can do that - cheers my friend.

Fax, There are some wonderful debates about local politicians in the Millburn section. You have been completely silent on them. Please go back to pissing off your fellow MSHers. Mem, Cut back on the alcohol, please. You're not making any sense. You completely made up that awkwardly-worded "wise old saying". It's not old, and it's not wise, and it's not even a saying. Give it a rest, Ms. barfly. |

Aquaman- Bet you left off advising H. Ross Perot and Harold Stassen on your "political consultant" resume too. What debates in MSH? |

Henry, Happily, my little alcohol consumption could never match yours, Mr Senseless Drinkalone. And at least I stay loyal to friends. Since I never considered you one, this is a no brainer. Your turn, Mr Ugly? |

To all and Jamie, Sorry to further the thread hijacking. But so many of us are tired of this aquaman character. He's horrible.

Aquaman: I think you are mistaking mem with me.. I can't drag that girl out anymore and I try. Now I am the barfly you are refering to and yes I like my wine, go out quite a bit but even us barflys wouldn't want anything to do with you... Why don't you live a little by "nomen est omen" and we'd be all better off. Over and out. |

Mr. Aquaman it's time for your air supply to be cut off... Personal attacks are one thing, but your mean spirited comments against Mem deserve a smack up side your head pal... IMHO, she is just one of a large and growing number of fun loving Lady Molers who know how party, love life, and add a lot of interest and class to our otherwise subdued, mundane community. I suspect if your true identity were made known to the ladies in town who also love to support our local watering holes, (BTW, my wife and me included) and we ever got our hands on you, you would be chopped meat...

Mem, Your whimsical posts celebrating the lighter side of alcoholism are always a delight to read. Please accept my most humble apology for calling you a barfly. Tell me which of these monickers you prefer: Drunkard? Toss-pot? Boozehound? Alky? Wino? I most certainly don't wish to offend! Again, a thousand pardons. Cheers! Dr. Arthur Curry, Esq. |

When Aqua-thing runs for office the thread should be about him. Otherwise Mr. Ross deserves the courtesy of your posts. |

The League of Awesomeness is assembling around the ban-for-personal-attack key (aka the Shock & Awe command).

Oh I almost forgot! Aquaman CAN'T drink, as in, overdid it and had to stop. Like, blackouts and stuff. It explains the nasty bitterness. Remember that time aquaman got kicked out of Centanni's? He doesn't. Now, I will start a separate thread on this topic so we don't hijack this one anymore.

Seems like an appropriate public service post for here: recent studies showsdrinking coffee decreases the risk of cirosis (sp) of the liver.

Sbenois, member of the League of Sudden Enlightenment (Chair of the Strong Wind Subcommittee), is calling in a poopyhead forecast:
Quote:Large poopyhead awards will be raining down unless y'all get off this topic and start throwing pies at each other in the street.
-- Mysteriously, the call was disconnected and all I could hear was wind. |

OK John my watery pal, You're forgiven for calling me names. I have to keep in mind that you were always like that and please don't go changin! And I also forgive you for throwing up in my beer at the Pub when we were in college, and for groping me that night at the movies last week. Love you! Hic-cup. |

The candidacy of Mr. J. Ross has already produced something of a miracle. The article in this week's News-Record is much better than the one that was in the Star-Ledger. Instead of "Comedian Runs for Office" (the Ledger angle), the News-Record had a more serious assessment. The article isn't online, but you can see it in this little picture from the News-Record site -
