Rain date for Garage sale?

We tried a bit yesterday after the rain but today it is drizzling and very wet and we decided not to do anything. Does anybody know if the town gives raindates in this type of case? I think you are only allowed 2 garage sales a year and they must be some months apart - if that's true, this is a pb because we didn't do anything today but we must wait a few months? Anybody knows?
