Ok, I just realized that a snow removal vehicle skidded over my front yard and caused a huge gap and tread mark right on the lawn. I assume the town is responsible for fixing this? Can someone tell me who to call. I'm really upset about this.

I'm not assuming you have recourse, but I'd take a picture quickly.

David Huemer responded to me privately. I will be calling the twp administrator tomorrow. I'll take a picture and post it. It's really unbelievable.

Thanks to David. I really appreciate the response.

AZ-Did you see the snow removal vehicle skid across your front yard? Are you sure it was a Township vehicle?

Toad has a point. I have seen tractors with plow attachments driven along the sidewalks in town by contractors who have agreements with individual homeowners to clear their sidewalks and driveways. There are also landscaping trucks with plows attached which contractors drive along streets and driveways to clear them for clients. The damage need not have been done by the town.

Az,

Do you have a very large property, a corner lot, live on a hill, or dead end street? How could a plow skid over your front yard?

Very strange... does your neighbor across the street from you have his driveway plowed by someone with a pickup truck?

All - Yes, it was definitely a snow removal vehicle. We are on a corner lot. The guy from the public works dept left his business card and called to apologize. Apparently, some car parked across the street and they could not get the machine through the street. Obviously, they didn't do it on purpose and their fast reponse is admirable. They will be fixing my front yard this week.
