This is a bit of a rant about the Maplewood website (not MOL). Who is in charge of updating the website? Under the Recreation area there is info on Kids Kamp but not, for example, the Egg Hunt, Tennis etc etc. Also while there are lovely photos of all our elected officials wouldn't it be great to put their email addresses underneath for easy contact? I tried looking all over the site for a "contact us" button to no avail. I think if we are going to go the expense of a website we should make sure it's up to date and interactive. It would also appear there are no township staff since all you get is a blank page when you click on staff... Frankly, it's clunky and looks like one of those build-your-own-for-$250 websites. |

Not that I disagree but I personally would be happy with a "clunky" site if it has all the information there. As much as I'd love the town to have a $20,000 interactive web site I personally care more about the content being complete. Seems like the content is taking a long time to be added. I did notice that they are updating it, especially with the PDFs of the town newsletter, which I think is a great idea. Other towns seem to have more interactive web sites (i.e., South Orange, Millburn). Is Maplewood Twp. paying someone to develop the web site or is this being spearheaded by volunteers? |

This will probably be fixed soon, but the town website currently reads: THE CITY OF RAYMORE, MISSOURI http://www.twp.maplewood.nj.us And all of the navigation images are missing, but the content is corrent. |

I can't believe it! What a joke! The website does say Raymore, Missouri. Maybe I should send my tax payment there (which the website reminds me is due on May 1st). It might be used more wisely in Raymore.

It's OK, Raymore, MS is the Garden Spot of the State. We're related! Jamie, as long as you're so observant, have you ever noticed how some people prefer homemade soup, while others eat their soup out of a can...

Actually, I've discovered a bigger problem with the sites run by this ASP, for me at least and maybe other Mac users. The Acrobat file names for minutes, agendas and other documents get re-written into long numeric sequences that cut off the .pdf extension when I go to view them or something gets messed up with the file headers, so when I download a document it comes through as jibberish. |

Question for any member of the Township Committee Five: I searched the Official Maplewood Township Site for the town's "Mission Statement". Nothing turned up. Do we have such a thing? Could we put it on the website? Ed May |
