Dearest Ed,

I am not working overtime for K&K. I'm not even working normal hours for K&K. Why, I'm not even working for K&K.

YOU started a thread and asked for questions . I responded by asking you twelve good ones. You should be thankful that I did ask, for without those questions your campaign would have no issues for local voters to judge you by.

Now you appear to be irritated because I a)continue to challenge you to round out your positions for my benefit b) because I don't ask them the same questions. Eduardo, I don't ask them because I already know their answers. I've been listening to them longer than you have.

If you want them to debate you, please contact their campaign directly and force the issue. I don't know the number.

If you are frustrated by their lack of online answers, please meet with your "brain trust" to figure out what your next steps are.

But Ed, don't get irritated with me for doing exactly what you asked me to do.

Dearest Sbenois

Please relax, I am not irritated at you. Sorry you got that impression. I consider you a friend. We go way back even before I got into this political thing. Apparently I was misled by Stefano's post of August 18th into thinking that you were 'working' for them and that Stefano would be working for us. Whatever.. We appreciate your questions. I too know many of K and K's answers (unless they have changed) but not all of them because we are raising issues that they never dealt with. I have discussed the idea of more debates directly with Kathy and she seems to be in favor of the idea, even though she is a little nervous about speaking in public. By the way, the practice Joel and I got answering your questions on line served us well this weekend at the dozen events we attended and fielded questions at. Keep up the good work, and hope to see you again soon.

Dearest Edwardo & Joel,

I am using the Six Sigma approach to quantify government services. When I am done with that I will be reading values from a cumulative frequency ogive followed shortly thereafter by an FMEA analysis and constructing a histogram with glue and popsicle sticks.

Please be patient. These things take time.

In order to save myself some time, I've decided to Pre-Announce this Event!

This event is really pathetic beyond description.

1) The tea bags all have holes in them. They must not have gone through the TQM process that ensures that the tea leaves stay in the bag.

2) Marie is once again wearing her I HATE FRED hat. She's also got on a T-shirt that says Ask Ken About De-Leveling!

3) Don just called the ticket agent a hockey puck. The ticket agent has now shut the window with 26 people on line. These people are all looking at Don a little angrily. Don is now blaming this situation on the "ten year strangehold that the Democrats have had on the Township Committee". The commuters have just misssed an express train. They are very angry at Don.

4)Arturo is begging Marilyn to run - away from Ed.

5) Ed and Joel are wearing the same dirty, gravy stained ties they've been sporting for 6 weeks now.

6) Stay home

7) Watch it on Channel 35 and see Ed and Joel eat them alive!

8) Check out their body language, or turn up your volume if you can't hear Ken or Kathie speak.

9) Yes, you're right, that's fire in their bellies, and what you hear Ed and Joel say, is what you'll get when you vote Republican this year.

10) …..and I can’t think anymore with bases loaded 5 to 5, bottom of the 8th ???????

Friday Night Centanni tuned to Channel 35 so Joel et al could watch the replay of the CCN TC Candidate Debate of Monday last. Tonight Ed and I asked the Pub to do the same but they said that some of the crowd wanted to watch the Yankees. Didn't the Yankees win the other Night? It is like almost November and Baseball is still being played?

Ed, Joel,

in yesterdays News Record you both claim you want to cut inneffective and unproven programs.
Could you be more specific at what kind of programs you are looking? And what kind of savings this would bring to the tax payers?

REPORT FROM THE TQM IN GOVERNMENT TOWN MEETING

This is Marilyn AKA M3 AKA Ed's wife reporting on the Total Quality Management In Government (and Education) Town Meeting held tonite at the Maplewood Train Station. Candidate for Maplewood Township Committee, Quality Consultant, and Adjunct Professor of Quality May (Assisted by Zeigler) did present a short presentation about the successful use of TQM in both Municipalities and School Districts.

From 6 to 6:30 Prof May waxed eloquent, referring to the Fort Wayne Indianna and Pinellas Florida School District TQM Success Stories.

From 6:30 to 7 was the Democratic Response, which I now quote in it's entirety:

Kathy's response " "
Ken's response " "

From 7 to 8 Ed discussed his Flip Charts about TQM tools with commuters and attendees alike. For example: the bar chart about St. James Gate, the Fourth of July Pareto, the New Sage Diner pie chart, the Maplewood Country Club Scatter Diagram, the 5K Race Run Chart, etc.

Winner of tonight's "Tea Q M" Award was Pen and Jen's! (Happy Birthday Jen!)

Bobbi Bennett (running for Senate) stopped by. She is an experienced TQM implementer by the way, and plans to implement a TQM initiative in Trenton when she is elected.

Well, Ed and I are off the Jazz Crawl starting at Net Nomaads and terminating at St. JAmes Gste.

Have to make sure that Ed gets to bed at a reasonable hour. He was a the train station early sort of campaigning buit mostly setting up the Hilton Debate tape which was played in the train station aat various times today. Also Ed has to get up early to ride the Red-White-Blue truck around town looking for votes and then dogging Democrarts at the train station at noon. HAsta La Vista, BAby!

You guys are unbelievable! As Republicans in a Democratic Town, your whole campaign should based on being independent of political parties and interested in Maplewood only. And now you have hooked up with a County Republican candidate for the State Senate who has about as much chance of winning as I have of being the next Pope!
