The following email was sent to the Pettis-Leventhal Campaign on October 27th ~ it is now the eve of the election, and no response has been received. Draw Your Own Conclusions.

Subj: "PBA ENDORSEMENT"

Good Afternoon

This is Ed over at the May-Ziegler Campaign.

Once again your website is alleging that Kathy and Ken are endorsed by the PBA.

#1 Please send proof of this statememt in writing before the LWV Debate tomorrow Night. You could email to this email address or fax it to 973-761-1774.

#2 The PBA has not been responsive to our phone calls to verify their actual position and we naturally suspect that their support, if given, has been withdrawn. Our perhaps there is another reason for their apparent stonewalling on this issue.

#3 Several police officers have alluded over the last few months that they personnally do not support the PBA "endorsement".

#4 We just want to get at the facts, you understand .......

#5 In any case, it is our understanding that the PBA cannot legally endorse township committee candidates.

We respectfully request a timely response.
