At the League of Woman Voters Debate on October 28th, all four candidates had candidate profile sheets for public distribution, that the LWV promised would be available in the Library for public taking starting on the 29th. Today I visited both the main and branch libraries and was told that the candidate profile sheets were never given to the library to put out!

What is the most important issue facing our Township?
We have an all Democrat Township Committee that is not focusing on
Maplewood issues, improving services, and lowering taxes.

How would you address this issue as a member of the Township Committee?
Once elected we will introduce diversity of thought, focus on taxpayer priorities, and run the town like a business. We will work to lower taxes by adding ratables, reducing regulation, encouraging small business, controlling expenses, eliminating unsupported programs, cutting waste at the county level, and reducing the school budget. We will emphasize Police, Fire, Emergency Services, Public Works, and the Schools. Our Total Quality Management program will encourage participation at all levels and functions, improve processes, and maximize taxpayer satisfaction.

This is a bit disturbing. Kathy Leventhal has been very involved with the LOWV for many years, so there's an appearance of impropriety that should be addressed.

fairness in dealing, etc.

Ed: Thank you for posting this information so that persons unfamiliar with your and Joel's qualifications can consider them before voting tomorrow.

In the interest of fairness, could someone please post the LOWV Candidate Information Sheets for Ken and Kathy sometime before the polls open tomorrow?
