J. Harry Smith, former member of the Township Committee (1991-1993) and former Vice Mayor, passed away on Christmas at the age of 79. Harry's obituary is in today's Star-Ledger.

I served with Harry for two of those years. A nice fellow, sharp as a razor and quick with a smile and a kind word. A real gentleman; it was a pleasure to serve with him, and to know him.
