Hi,

I'm not sure where to address this question.

I remember back in the Fall that access to the overlook area at South Moutain was restricted.

If that is still the case, can something be done to make it available to people in cars during this time? I would guess that most might want access between 7pm and 10pm or so.

We've got a great spot from which to view this memorial and it would be wonderful to have vehicle access.

Best Regards,
Ron Carter

The Essex County Police did not know at this time. They told me to try back around 4pm. I'll post any info I do get right here. It does sound like they're getting many calls concerning this. My guess is that they'll allow people up there, but will be monitoring the numbers of vehicles coming and going

The overlook in the Reservation was my planned viewing spot too -- wondered if it would be open. Any alternatives nearby?

Ok, they said that the reservation will be open.

About the memorial:
Tribute of Light, will be illuminated at 6:30 p.m. near Ground Zero. The memorial consists of two columns of light beamed upward, reminiscent of the towers that once stood there.

It will be illuminated from dusk til 11pm over the enxt 32 days.
