Will there be any kind of statement from the candidates regarding the results of the election?

I'm interested to hear from Profeta supporters whether or not they are happy about the election results.

I supported Profeta and I'm happy for both Ian and Vic...

Both men have done a good job for Maplewood. Vic had a little rest, and I'm sure Ian can use a little rest as well. A big thanks to both of them!

As for Fred, well he'll continue to do good things for us as our Mayor!

Speaking of mayor...who will be the next mayor?

Seems to me Pettis is fairly well positioned -- if he wants it.

Well, Ken will be a good mayor, but in terms of Maplewood mayoral etiquette, it's more likely David Huemer gets the nod. Speaking of whom, I think he owes me a sushi lunch.

I also think Ken will make a good Mayor, but hasn't the pattern been mostly at least two or three years before the switch?

I would think more likely than not Ken will be Vice Mayor next year, then his re-election before becoming Mayor. Either way is fine, the voting is what really counts, and they all have equal powers when it comes down to that...

As for Huemer, he also will make a good Mayor, but the way it looks he's one vote short.
