I stumbled across this village's blog by their Borough Manager (I assume the post is much like our Township Administrator.)

http://www.blossburg.org/boro/boro_manager/apr03_log.html

It is a wonderful way to let the Township know how much work gets done in a day! Maybe Maplewood's new Administrator would consider such communication with the townsfolk.

This is reaaaaal exciting stuff!!!

Maybe if the police chief started a blog about town happenings, or better yet if superintendent H kept a blog, then wowsville, big league, tv contract.

Town administrator - snoring...

It's not at all exciting, but it could be darned useful record keeping. And it gives the people access to more information that could be public.

I still like the idea...yeah -it's dull- but it's not an "entertainment" blog. It is a "Why the hell haven't they picked up the leaves on my street yet" blog....then you learn about the pattern that they might be picking leaves up.

I like the idea of the town posting minutes of all TC meetings and a sort of memo blog from all officials that we pay top dollar.

I wouldn't want a town employee wasting taxpayer dollars writing a blog on the job.

The Town Committee Meeting agendas used to be posted on MOL. I think DeLuca used to submit them.

Johnny nailed it.
It would be a waste of time, who would read it?

A blog? That would become just another mouthpiece for loudmouths and whiners who have time to waste.

Township agendas and minutes if available should be posted on MOL.

KMK- maplewood is small enough for you to get to know staff in townhall. Telephone inquiries or visits get you a lot of answers. Most people don't care about being virtually informed on every issue.

Why am I wasting my time on this??
