Joan,

Yes, he was my campaign manager last year and I believe that he will prove to be an extremely intellegent, articulate and formidable candidate. I'm confident that you will be seeing and hearing a lot of creative and innovative ideas from him in the near future.

Republican candidate last three years inclusive:

Art Art Bart

There seems to be a pattern to their thinking but I can't quite make out it's meaning.

seems like to run for TC, you need a short name. No more than 4 letters.

I dunno, Aquaman, there are also a fair number of 5-letter names, and a few longer. If 'Bob' on your list is Bob Grasemere, then we're going back almost 15 years. In that span, here are some of the other names, in order of length:

Celia
David (he doesn't really go as Dave)
Ellen
Harry
Jerry
Kathy
Marie
Scott
Steve
Connie
Mickey (formally Morris but they're both 6 letters)
Khadijah
Susannah

You are correct that the preponderence are short names. Here are a few more to add to your collection:

Bill
Joel
Mark
Mary
Noel

And still I'm forgetting a few of the Republican candidates in the late 1990's.

Most of the short names Aquaman listed are shortened versions of the candidates' full names. The shortened names are often easier to remember and fit more easily on posters, buttons, and lawn signs than the full name each canidate was given at birth.

For example: Ed and Joel as opposed to Edwin A. May, Jr., ASQ CSSBB and Joel S. Ziegler, Esq.

By the way, we still have some ZIEGLER-MAY bumper stickers available.

How about slogans:

If you liked Art, you'll love Bart.

What does that stand for? "fund to elect Bart Albini"?

I will wait until I don't have to pay money to hear him speak. Good luck to Bart.

Will he be available here on MOL eventually?

"I will wait until I don't have to pay money to hear him speak. Good luck to Bart."

The rain held off this afternoon and the event was well attended. Tom, here's what's possible for you to meet Bart. He will be walking the town door to door, and also attending coffees and the like.

May I suggest that you could have a neighborhood coffee at you home and invite him and maybe even Fred and Vic while you're at it... As for being available here on MOL, the answer is no.

Bart will also participate in all the usual public debates between the candidates, answer e-mails from his web site, and of course respond to the MOL candidate event in the Fall. Thanks for your interest.
