since this wasn't in the N/R yet again, please spread the word:

The Maplewood Library is pleased to be able to offer limited summer Saturday hours at the Main Library on Baker Street. The Main Library will be open the following Saturdays: July 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Main Library also continues normal weekday hours Monday thru Thursday: 10-9:00 and Friday 10:00-5:00. The Hilton Branch Library will begin its’ summer hours Monday, June 20. This schedule includes Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10:00-4:30 and Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00-8:00. Both branches of the Library will be closed July 2-4 for Independence Day.

I'm going away for a day or two, but will answer any questions when I return Sunday. R

Wonderful news! Thanks for letting us know. Anyone wanting to support the summer Saturday hours in hopes of continuing or expanding them next year should make it a point to use the library, however briefly, during as many of the four July dates as you can make it.

Vote for the summer Saturday hours by using the ones that have been made available. If no one comes, there will be little hope of getting even limited summer Saturday hours approved again any time soon.

I want to bump this to the top to remind people that the Maplewood Library is closed this Saturday, but will be open all the other Saturdays in July. We're also closed Monday, July 4th.

I'll be at the Two Towns in Harmony event Sunday afternoon so stop by my booth. I'll have a lot of informational brochures about programs for kids and adults and free @ bookmarks. Stop by with the kids for a little break. I'm bringing some folk tales to read or you can answer a question in my Fairy Tale Trivia and get a prize. Hope to see there. R

The information in the N-R is not quite correct and I just want to clarify:
The Hilton Branch Library continues it's summer schedule through the ENTIRE MONTH OF AUGUST. This schedule includes Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10:00-4:30 and Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00-8:00.

The Main Library also continues normal weekday hours Monday thru Thursday: 10-9:00 and Friday 10:00-5:00.

Summer Saturday hours are over. Both branches resume Saturday service just after Labor day and Sundays at Main Library early in October. R

News Record announced in this week's issue that Saturday hours would be continued through August. Does anyone know if this is correct?
