There was a beautiful cat in Memorial Park this morning who was really friendly and walking up to people. Obviously this is not a feral cat. The cat was mostly white with dark ears and a dark striped tail. I was trying to see if the cat had any tags but I was with my dog so I could not get close enough. He/She was sitting on the hill across from the train station. |

I saw that cat at the train station at about 5:50 AM this morning. No collar. No tags. Definitely used to being around people. One of the men waiting for the train picked the cat up, gave it a belly rub and got a contented purr from the cat in response. It wasn't there when I got back to Maplewood Station this afternoon. |

Joan- Oh No! It was by the train tracks? Not good at all! I hope it went home. |

No it wasn't by the tracks. The cat was hanging out at the north side of the station building. It looked like it was out for a morning stroll and just dropped by to say hello to the people waiting to board the train. |

Phew. I hope he isn't there tomorrow because it's going to be very hot. |

Cat schmat! There was a freakin' deer at the Maplewood Train Station a few weeks ago. I was hoping the train would whack it. It's been a long time since I had venison for the smoker! |

Deer may be seen virtually any where in town, including chomping on my rose bushes (and I don't live anywhere near the reserve). They look especially spooky when you see them through the early morning mist as they are standing calmly in Memorial Park. |

I am in the park a lot and I see that cat everytime I am there. The kids have named it Lil' N. It is the park's cat. And what kind of sicko wants a train to hit a deer? What did the deer do to you? Eat your flowers? Aw shucks. |

Kyle, it's real simple. 1. Deer have cloven hooves. So does Satan. 2. The deer population is exploding because they don't have enough predators. Satan doesn't have enough predators either. 3. You ever drive down the road and see those eyes glowing at you. You think they're deer right? They could be. Couldn't they be SATAN! 4. Did you ever see deer and Satan together?
