Doesn't the town typically offer free or low-cost flu shots in the fall? Anyone know what the plans are for this year?

I spoke with the Health Department earlier this week...I was told -- they are getting vaccines this year, just dont know when, should be within the next week or so. They took a number and would call when they knew.

I don't know if there will be a shortage this year like there was last year. The NYC Health Department was offering flu and pneumonia shots today at work but only to people in hgh risk categories. They plan to offer additional vaccinations in December (presumably when more vaccine is available).

My office has postponed shots from mid-October to early November due to CDC(?) mandate that only high-risk categories get shots until then.

Not sure if I would want to get a shot there - but the Drug Fair is having a flu shot day this month.
