Last night we saw “Walk the Line” and really enjoyed it. I loved the music and one of the songs reminded me of an old flame, “The Ring of Fire.”

This year the town has generously provided us with a Free Jitney on Saturday’s to get our shoppers around town.

It’s a great idea whose time has come. It may be not be the “Ring of Fire”, but it can be just the spark we need to generate new retail sales in town for the holiday season. Happy Holiday’s everyone...

I believe it's the same route as a normal jitney ride during the week... Starts the first Saturday in December. I'll find out tomorrow and let you know...

BTW "S", I think I may have located the shrub over on Lexington, but I couldn't stop. I'll let you know...

Jamie: Thanks for the link.

Marie: According to the schedule Jamie posted, the closest stop to Springfield Avenue is the one at Prospect and Hilton on the Hilton route.

I notice that the stop at Prospect and Crescent which is generally on the Parker and Hilton routes in the afternoon has been omitted or is this just because the return schedule wasn't posted?

It is a shame that those of us who could benefit from the jitney service to/from the village in December but who do not live close to one of the weekday jitney routes will not be receiving any such service.

I drove behind a jitney bus yesterday all the way up Boyden, down Tuscan and down Valley. I almost passed out from the intense diesel fumes. Can't these things be electric?
