On the weekend of January 7, I scurried to take down my Christmas tree for fear of missing the pick up, and here we are on January 19 and there is still no sign of them picking them up. I don't remember it taking this long in the past. |

Ours is still out by the curb where it's been since last Saturday... |

Ours is still out there too (or at least it was when I left this morning). With all the wind we've had, we find it in a different place every evening and have to drag it back! |

There's still one in my street, too. Is DPW supposed to pick these up? There hasn't been any snow to plow. So I wonder why the delay? |

Perhaps someone with a tree out could call DPW and find out, rather than asking here, where I'm sure few DPW employees will see it.

This is a perfectly fine spot to post. We know that this board is read by Village Hall. They keep me posted once a day. I order them to act on many things they read from here. I know I've noticed Christmas trees all over the front curbs. It's about time they're picked up. And since I, Nagim, have a christmas tree on my front curb, I don't know whether I have a conflict of interest by saying so? (Psst - Nagim: You don't have a conflict since you don't benefit anymore than anyone else who has a christmas tree. Keep up the thoughful concern and dialogue.) |

This info came to me from the Village Administration: "... all trees will be picked up by the end of January." "... residents should have their trees out now (rather than leaving them in their backyard or garage until they *think* it might be picked up). DPW has been doing cycles around the Village doing cleanup from the storm last weekend, so they may be picking up trees during these cycles, & then do a final sweep during the last week in January." |

How about residents who are continuing to place leaves at the curb... |
