On viewing last night's BOT meeting, Trustees MooreAbrams and Jennings showed their true, and bizarre agenda. They actually thought it was appropriate for them as public employees to challenge the lack of "diversity" of the Beifus entourage. Since when were they elected to serve as the EEOC for every organization they come in contact with? We can't even get these trustees to hold developers hands to the fire on issues that directly impact the village, like when will the project be done? They should have welcomed the fact that no "diverse" members were associated with this fiasco, but that point may have been lost on them. Now they want to tell them how to implement their own human resource policy. What is that about? Maybe Matthews will have to put in language in all development agreements specifying the make-up of any people covered by the contract. But while's he's at it, how about including items that will actually speak to project performance issues and penalties and timelines? Would that MooreAbrams and Jennings were as emphatic about that. |

jayjay, I also felt that playing of the "race card" was inappropriate both for the Beifus discussion and the Parking Authority discussion. I am all for diversity, which is a large reason for why we moved here. However, diversity (or lack of it) was NOT the issue last night. The inability of Beifus & his "experts" to do ANYTHING is the issue, along with Calabrese's ability to keep giving them "one more chance". |

You've got to be kidding? How many BOT members do we have? Hmmm Bill, Eric, Marc, Alan, Art and these two. That makes seven, correct? You know what? Nevermind. But since they are so interested in the makeup of things. Let's see them also go to bat for the lack of individuals with physical disabilities. What was Art's reaction to this? |

Why does the race card always have to be played? You'd think that would get old after awhile. |
