Is this Men's Basketball at the Meadowlands? Women's volleyball at Walsh Gym? Co-ed bowling at Eagle Rock Lanes? The graphic doesn't tell us... (But I assume it's the first of these three!) |

Stuart - I would hope that Sheena wouldn't waste our time with postings of women's volleyball. Not that I have anything against volleyball, it's just not a real sport. |

Seton Hall got 4 votes to be in the Top 25 according to ESPN! One of our great players, Donald Copeland, was just announced as Big East Player of the Week! Seton Hall just beat #14/15 NC State and #25 Syracuse! This should be an awesome game! There's also going to be a LOT of free giveaways!!! Come cheer on SHU Mens basketball! |

Soooooooooooooooooooo since someone posted some false facts about our record, I figured I'd enlighten everyone with some correct information... Our Overall record is 13-6...that's 13 wins and 6 loses, btw. Our Conference record is 4-3 and out of Conference 9-3. Rutgers is 13-8, 3-5, 10-3. So, our conference stats are better, but overall, we are quite comparable. Oh, and I'll include some more stats for you that apparently need to be reiterated...we beat NC State(ranked 14) and Syracuse(ranked 25). I think Donald Copeland just won Big East Player of the Week. See you at the game!

Just back from the game. SHU Pirates won 73 to 67. A great game. Rutgers were trailing very close behind Seton Hall throughout the game keeping us at the edge of our seats. Let's Go Pirates !!! |

Ooooops. My mistake about the number of games! When you posted the two teams SH beat I thought that was the total number of games they already played. I don't really follow sports. My nephews who were really big SH fans no longer like or watch the college basketball team. |

Shame on you, Mayor! You're better than that. I'd take volleyball over stupid American football any day. But perhaps I am one of the few. Happy Super Bowl! |

Buttercup, you don't need to specify "American football." There is only one real football game, and it is played in the NFL. That foot fairy game called soccer is a sham. And volleyball over football? There can be only one explanation for your strange choice. You are lying. And that is not a very nice thing to do.

Mayor, Who are the jackasses that named a ball CARRYING sport "Football" anyway? Soccer IS the real football. It actually requires genuine skill as opposed to big-gut ruffians body slamming each other (insert grunting and crotch grabbing). I never lie. Volleyball is awesome, especially if there are very attractive, half-naked people playing it. If you caught Misty May and Kerri Walsh's girl-on-girl volleyball action at the Athens Olympics, you, as a straight man, would agree with me. Love, Your Favorite Buttercup |

First of all, I can't believe that your post containing "half-naked... girl on girl... action" was not removed. Second, if you want to kick a ball, go kick a ball. If you want to run around, go run around. But don't put the two together, put it on TV and call it a sport. (This is a variation of an old quote about golf, but it works well here. And third, my favorite buttercup, volleyball is for women and losers. Stop lying. |

It was a great game... biggest crowd SHU has had in 2 years! It is nice to see SHU making a push to get more people to the games. Next Saturday night SHU will be host to #1 UCONN... Hopefully the students all show up for that one as well. btw Sheena I don't know if you ever go on Piratecrew.com I pretty much live there... decent community for SHU basketball anyway. |

JMF - I spent my time on the Rutgers discussion boards this past week harassing some of them, lol . I've been on Piratecrew.com a few times but just as a lurker... BEAT UCONN!!!! (The big push came because of the Spirit Week and the link to the 150th anniversary - unfortunately, I don't know if the momentum will keep up... but fingers crossed) |

Sheena or JMF - I know it's early to ask, but do you you anything about their recruiting class for next year? I tried a quick search and all I found were places to pay to find out info. Also, they need to get through South Florida before UConn. And last time they almost blew it. And Buttercup, first girl on girl action, and now talk of hookers? What would the children say? |

That is a good question McCheese. Our recruiting for next year is a problem. We had a pg out of the city. Malcom Grant. He backed out because of the uncertin future of Orr. He has also been playing incredibly well, and has been drawing a lot of attention from other schools. Sounds like he will end up at Nova. Other than that, they don't have any recruits for next year yet. Hopefully this streak will help get SHU involved with another pg. They have John Garcia who is redshirting this year. He will be a solid player. 6'9" big man from Long Island. He is slow, but has good hands and solid footwork around the basket. They have two verbals for 07 from the midwest. 6'8" Quincy Ownens and 6"10 Orlando Allen. They really need a pg though. Nutter and Gause are both good... but neither is a true pg.
