Yeah. I get around.

Edited to add: Folks, it has absolutely nothing to do with South Orange. Just one of those coincidences that happens sometimes.

So, what's the story about the deer in your neigbor's backyard? Does the fence go up or have you convinced him to save some money?

He's going to put it up. It will be a nice fence, nothing too obtrusive. What we all should do up here is probably join in and get one fence that surrounds the whole area. It really is like a park.

My neighbor's wife really enjoys gardening. It's her hobby. But it's just been impossible with the deer. They did try stringing some wire across last year, but the deer just jumped over it.

It would be nice if something could be done which is acceptable to at least most people, but that is probably impossible unless the other towns push for it.

And I'm really impressed with Jersey Boy's knowledge about landscaping. He's a pro.

I couldn't resist the thing with Elaine - it's one of those things that was too good not to
mention. Cheers.

Stuart - Sorry for the mystery. But it's one of those things that loses something in the translation if one isn't familiar with the background. Nothing otherwise extraordinary. You almost have to be an "insider" to appreciate it. Sorry Elaine - You can imagine my surprise. (And vice versa).

And it has nothing to do with South Orange, nothing personal, or any of that stuff. Really just something ordinary.

Perhaps it should have been an e-mail to Elaine rather than a topic on MOL?

Dave - You're absolutely right and I'm e-mailing Elaine right now. Actually, the funny thing is it's actually something which is common to us. 'Nuf said.

I was shocked to learn that Spitz reads that type of stuff.

Spitz,
Thanks for noticing. I'm not a pro, just a nervous amateur. I bought eight trees and planted them myself. So I reaaally didn't want to screw it up and have them die (expensive). I just kept searching on-line, watching HGTV, and reading books. Like most, I'm eager to share new knowledge.

J.B.
