When do we get to start PAYING Trustees?

Last we heard, in Sept 2004 the majority of the BOT voted in favor of this (Trustees Joyce, Rosner & Rosen voted against) proposal to pay themselves and then it was supposed to go to Trenton for approval before POSSIBLY coming back as a referendum to the town taxpayers. Did Trenton ever approve this? Although, considering that if it appears on the ballot in Nov 2006 or even Nov 2007, it will STILL beat the opening of the Supermarket.
