A more appropriate and relevant question would have been to ask the percentage break-down by race of homebuyers in South Orange last year. Also to ask which areas of town were still "underrepresented" by one race. This is the mission of the CCR, and not to make sure that the realtors have the same representation of blacks as the general community.

I think the "step down" rules need to be revisited. Saying present and asking one question and then leaveing shouldn't be considered being in attendance. Shouldn't one have to stay for at least half the meeting and then have an urgent reason for leaving in order to be counted present for that meeting?

Whatever her agenda, it is shameful for Terriann to occupy a seat in our BOT when she is not capable of meeting her obligations. If she got into something that turned out to be more than she bargained for, she should have the decency to step down.

I cannot attend BOT meetings as I work nights, but I think someone should get up there and bring this issue in front of the Board for discussion.

The statistics that DeVaris quoted about Moore-Abrams was something like of 36 meetings (or 32 if you subtract workshops), she attended about a third. (If someone can get the exact number from the video of the May 15 BOT meeting, please post it.) This means Moore-Abrams missed roughly 67% of trustee meetings. And DeVaris only brought it up because Moore-Abrams wanted to get herself appointed to an inter-municipal committee of some kind. Fortunately, the BOT did not vote her onto it. Trustee Rosner and Moore-Abrams were the only two trustees who voted to appoint her to it.

This woman has no shame at neglecting her duties of office and a raw ambition unseemly in a public servant. I hope she is voted out of office at the first opportunity.

Terri-ann's campaign promise. "Government under glass."

More like "Government under smoke and mirrors".

Are you sure Mark voted to appoint her? If so, Mark what were you thinking?

I believe Mr. Rosner has stated that he feels that this appointment should be rotated among Trustees in the interest of fairplay and equal access. In that vein, his vote is consistent with his stated principle, whether one agrees with him or not.

SOrising, MHD went through teh BOT meeting minutes, and through the last date of minutes that were available, Ms. Moore-Abrams missed 4 BOT meetings. I believe most of hte meetings she missed were not reguarl BOT meetings, but either committee meetings or special sessions.

Rastro, check the May 15 BOT meeting, about 2/3 or more through it. It is where they start talking about reorganizing their appointments to various committees.

From the film, the trustee was eminently reasonable.
Listen to her words, and then comment upon the words.
