The fence is up. Actually, it's pretty classy. Made to look like wrought iron (8 ft. high.) Now we wait for the coyote.

I thought fences in South Orange couldn't be higher then 6 feet? At least that's what one of my neighbors told another neighbor.

I think it's 8 ft. It may be 6 ft. I'll check tomorrow (inconspicuously). One nice thing about it is now we can enjoy our neighbor's garden.

Edited to add: You're probably right.

If fences can be 12 feet my neighbor will be happy to hear that!

According to one of the papers Hal, the Central Park coyote, managed to scramble over an eight foot chain link fence during his ultimately failed attempt to stay at large.

My guess is that Hal probably scrambled UNDER the 8 ft. fence. Or else, he procured some type of catapult or other propelling device from the ACME Company.

Why not get a golem? Or auto cannons, if you can't find a good Rabbi to summon the golem.

That Coyote's really a crazy clown!
When will he learn that he never can run him down?
Poor Little Roadrunner never bothered anyone,
Just runnin' down the road's his idea of havin' fun...

Actually I was hoping Hal would escape capture. But then I always rooted for Whiley Coyote in the Road Runner cartoons.

Is there something wrong with me? :-)

Elementary, My Dear Spitz! Catholic High School, Catholic University, Graduation year consistent with current enrollment. Sheena would have had that ring polished, boxed and delivered all by her lonesome if she had less to deal with in other threads...

Why did they have to capture the coyote? He was a threat to unleashed pets, which are illegal.

Actually, in spite of my hope he would elude capture by the crack troops of the ESU, was skinny as a rail and sooner or later might have attacked a leashed Yorkie or Westie or possibly a small child. In addition, sooner or later he would have been hit by a car.
