Can anyone answer this for me? I am not a long term resident, I have only been here 3 1/2 years, but I am hearing all this stuff about the gazebo etc being razed to make way for the sculpture.. Just a thought. That area looks very "finished" to me, almost as though a great amount of effort, thought and money went into it. What was the idea behind it? WHO was behind it? Was this something that the town wanted? I think it's very pretty, but that is not the point of my post. I was just wondering that if it was something created with pride for the town, why it is so easy to get rid off... Can anyone answer this? |

soparants, Please there lots of threads about the Tony Smith Sculpture right on this message board for you to look at. I agree with you 100% that the gazebo looks great and should not be torn down. I wish South Orange would put the Sculpture in front of one the town buildings like a school or the town's senior center. That way South Orange will not have to spend money to tare down a perfectly good gazebo only to replace it with a Sculpture. |
