Just curious as to what people were paying for heat this winter per month. We have a 2,800 square foot colonial, new furnace installed in 2003, oil/steam heat system, electric heat in kitchen and family room. Paid over $500 per month on average.

It certainly sounds possible. Though there are many factors including cost of oil, efficiency of boiler, type of boiler, windows, thermostat settings.
