I was confused at the meeting on Monday night and am still confused, so can someone in a less confused position than me help out...

I think I heard the subject of the Beifus site raised on Monday. I got confused when Trustee Rosen asked when they were closing on the site. Closing what? I didn't think you could work on something until you owned it. Then Mr.Gross said something about them closing when they have finished excavating(?) etc, as it was in the contract that clean up etc was their responsibility and they could not close until it was done... If this is the only hold up, can't the village cite the length of time this is taking, have all the clean up etc done and bill it back to them to speed it up?

As said, I am confused and may have misheard, so if anyone can help clarify I would be grateful.

BTW - there was a bulldozer on site today doing something or other. I was in the playground the other side of the pool so couldn't see much..

Maybe the bulldozer you saw in the Beifus site is doing the "work" Calabrese referenced at a recent planning board meeting. That "work" was to be an attempt by Beifus to make the site more decent when viewed from the pool. Don't get your hopes up that "work" is actually building something.

My hopes are so far down in the holes in our town right now I don't think they know HOW to get up.....

I figured the bulldozer was someones attempt to make it look (on the surface at least) that something was being done so they could stand up at the next meeting and say something was done...
