So what will happen to the gazebo, as it makes way for the Tony Smith sculpture? The numbers for the Tony Smith project have a line item for "demolition." No one has said anything about it being disassembled and reassembled elsewhere...let alone what the cost of doing that would be.

I have been wondering also about the legal issue, if there is one, of demolishing a structure for which a bond was floated, and which was estimated to have a life (of 20 yrs?). I assume bond holders would be interested in knowing that that portion of the bond which represented that capital improvement was torn down. Wouldn't that somehow affect the value of the bond if it were known. I'm no bond expert, but maybe someone out there is and can comment on this.

Gee, ask our town attorney Ed Matthews, live, at the next Board of Trustees meeting.
Or better, ask him for a written opinion, from our bond attorney.
