I see there is another meeting on the "Strategic Plan" scheduled for this week. Did anyone go to the last meeting and can comment on what it was like & whether it was worthwhile? http://www.southorange.org/articles.asp?articleID=149 May 12, 2006 Public Hearings Scheduled for Strategic Plan The Township of South Orange Village is holding two public meetings to obtain input on its Strategic Plan. Residents in neighborhoods south of South Orange Avenue are invited to attend a meeting on May 23rd at 7:00 pm in Marshall School. Residents in neighborhoods north of South Orange Avenue are invited to attend a meeting on June 7th at 7:00 pm in South Orange Middle School. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to identify neighborhood-specific issues such as open space, recreation, transportation, historic architecture, etc., and create a plan that implements tools which will address these issues. Because each neighborhood in South Orange is unique, we are beginning the public input process by dividing the town into northern and southern projects. Please note that this is merely the beginning of the process. We expect to hold several additional public meetings in the future that will likely focus on even more specific geographics and issues.
