Just went by the back of the building and noticed the signhangers changing the name to Rocket Ship and Print. Was the place sold? Does Jim still work there? What's going on?

Nancy, I think I saw a notice somewhere (in the mail? in the News-Record?) that it's continuing w/same owners and staff, new name. I guess Jim didn't want to join up with UPS, or whoever it is that's taking over Mail Boxes.

That must be why they now charge some sort of nominal fee to drop off a prepaid UPS package for shipping.

UPS bought out MBE and was in the process of changing all the MBE stores to their brand.

Perhaps the current owners didn't want that (or UPS?).

FWIW -- its a store I avoid at all costs given the surly or nonexistent service and their absurd surcharges for shipping. Drop your shipments off at a UPS or Fedex box instead...

/p

They've always treated me well.

Split the difference w/pete and tom: I've always had good service there. The shipping/faxing prices are high, but convenience counts. Jim has been very helpful with various PTA/HSA/Scout printing jobs, good pricing too.
