Nora-
I went back to bed shortly after I posted. The sirens woke me up. Wonder what happened?

Who cares? Probably a police chase or fire response. Do we need to know EVERYTHING?

Hey Glock easy there. What's with the nasty responses. Why do you care if JTA posts about something at 4am....

There is a very easy solution...don't post on a thread if you don't care for the topic and all you are going to do is send a bitchy reply.

Darn that is right by JTA's house. No wonder you woke up from it.

JTA...why don't you take the police exam or apply for a job at the police department...you seem so intrigued by the happenings of crime in our town.

It even woke my mom up! Right before I posted I could swear I head what sounded like two gunshots. My mom told me if I posted that on MOL people would really think I was nuts. Turns out that's where the officer fired her gun.

Old and Gray-
Not sure if that was a sarcastic comment or not; but I think we should be aware of what goes on in the area we live in. I've always been interested in crime and police related shows (Law and Order is one of my favorite shows). There was a time I wanted to go to John Jay for some kind of degree working in Law Enforcement. Even took two Master's Level Criminal Justice Clases at SHU. I was too stupid to pass the math and science requirements, so I gave up that idea.

If being hyper aware of what's going on in my neighborhood and South Orange as a whole is a crime, I'm guilty. I do tend to run across my fair share of things happening. Like I said, the sirens woke me up. There were a lot of them for an extended perod of time. It is unusual for the police to use them at that tme of night. As Bajou mentioned, it is right by my house.

I just hope the officer is okay. BTW Can you imagine how bad I'd be if I had a scanner.
